What are Glories? Glories are a cool way to jazz up your flute with your own personality. Imagine crowning your flute with a work of art individually created in silver or gold just for you. They are also available as a charm for a necklace, earrings or bracelets. What's the Difference between Glories and Crowns? Your flute crown is the whole cap that screws into the top of the flute headjoint. Glories are domed sculptures that fit over the existing crown, a unique chased and raised 'cap' that is soldered over the dome. Check out the video at the top of the page. How Do Glories Work? Each one is created by chasing a 3/4 inch (19.5 mm) round sculpture that fits over the crown that is already on your flute. When you order a glory, all you need do is send your crown to me during the creation of the glory so I can fit it perfectly on top. You can choose a stock design, like the samples shown, or create a design uniquely your own! Pet Glories I also have created a specialty of pet glories. From a picture of your favorite pet I can immmortalize it in a silver or gold glory for your flute or jewelry. Visit the pet glories page for details. How Much Do They Cost? Flute cap glories are only $149.00 in silver and just $229.00 for 14K gold! Elaborate custom designs may cost extra as well as mixed metals and other karat gold. Shipping is not included.
